She embodies the qualities of beauty and meaning, the creation of fantasy, the passing on of a narrative, that I strive to imbue the entire site with. This is her palace. HALLUCINATIONS is a showcase of my digital artworks, photographs, and sketchbooks. A page about inspirations and the end results. The background is adapted from Joseph Cornell"s "Medici Boy". Many of the photographs were taken at the Museum of Natural History here in New York City. The age of the objects is something I try to mirror in the treatment of the images. Some of the images are available as prints by request as a way of supporting their creation. THE DISEASE MANIFESTO what you are seeing is the gradual development of an extensive project continued digitally from what has been going on in my other work for years. The Manifesto is an appeal for understanding something I feel is deeply ingrained in the human psyche. The Disease is metaphorical, personal, but as I am pointing out quite universal...to construct the narrative of an inner wound. I use as examples of this narrative drawings from my books of my hands from different years showing in their depiction the inner stress of this elusive, inexplicable illness. I wanted that illusory book format to point out how the experience is different from looking at a real book because it is going to be a book times infinity - neverending, evolving, intangible. THE FAMILY PROJECT consists of pictures of my family. Important in terms of my personal link to my ancestry and the ties to my immediate family. To bring them into my world. Give them a face and a voice in the totality of the viewers perceptions. Photographic depictions of my relationship to them. A chance to be expressive about the fact of my past.
